Performance Technologies' ComLink™ communications software provides users of its intelligent, high speed synchronous/serial communications adapters an easy way to run a variety of SunSoft™ communications protocols.
ComLink is architected to provide a transparent link between the SunSoft protocols and Performance Technologies' communications adapters. ComLink is capable of sustaining high speed data rates for a variety of protocols used in telecommunications and datacommunications applications.
ComLink can also be used as a standard API and Solaris™ driver for non-SunSoft applications.
Users of Sun's suite of communication protocols, such as X.25, Frame Relay, PPP, Internetwork Router (IR), etc. can quickly and easily integrate Performance Technologies' communications adapters for PCI, CompactPCI®, or PMC based systems, with the desired SunSoft protocol.

Performance Technologies' communications adapters provide users an intelligent 4 or 8 port, high speed synchronous/serial communications interface. These modules are proven high speed, programmable, synchronous/serial controllers that support a variety of protocols used in synchronous/serial data communication applications. ComLink supports all PCI-based platforms running Solaris 2.X, Solaris X.86 and the PCI, PMC & CompactPCI form factors.
Operating under typical protocol overheads, these adapters achieve a sustained throughput of over 2Mbit/sec full-duplex on each of their channels simultaneously. The adapters support a wide array of communication interfaces including RS-232C, RS-422/449 and V.35.
