Precise calibration built-in

EasyBGA allows you to quickly and easily build a state-of-the-art 2D BGA inspection application. EasyBGA provides BGA model definition and archiving. It is used to count and locate balls with the aim of detecting missing and extra balls. EasyBGA enables high-precision sub-pixel measurement of ball position, pitch, diameter and circularity. High-accuracy is achieved through a precise calibration process: including pixel size and aspect ratio calibration as well as camera rotation and perspective effect compensation. EasyBGA also provides statistical analysis of a complete batch of measurement results.

Typical performance figures

These performances are calculated inspecting a pattern with a resolution of 20 pixels/mm. For example, the BGA inspected for this test had the following characteristics: ball diameter, 750 µm and ball pitch, 1.27 µm.

More than 10,000 balls measured per second.

Typical 3-sigma repeatability of 1/10 pixel, i.e. 5 µm with a 40 mm field of view.

Typical 3-sigma precision of 15 µm on pitch measurement and 7 µm on diameter measurement.
